Post-Valentine Staycation at Orion Hotel | excursionista | work. eat ...

If you frequent the Tutuban/Divisoria area especially during Christmas season, you can now take a breather by checking in at Orion Hotel located at the third floor of Prime Block Building.

The main entrance is at the side of the building but you can also enter through the mall access like we did. However, the latter's a bit hard to find.

The modest waiting area. Also notice that they have provision for persons with disabilities.

Check-in was a breeze and we were served refreshments soon after. The friendly receptionist also asked us to choose our in-room complimentary breakfast from the menu. You can choose from Pork Tocino, Chicken Longganisa, Beef Tapa, Boneless Bangus, King's Congee or Wanton with Pao. You can also request what time you would like your breakfast to be served. After this, we were handed our keycards together with the WiFi password.

I'm loving the cozy earth colors

Thumbs up for labeled switches. No more guessing which is which :)

As soon as I entered, I saw Derek Ramsay waiting for me in bed...in the form of a box of heart-shaped donuts. Damn it.?

My comfy bed for the night?

?The welcome gift and grooming kit

Mini bar (not to mention there's also a well-stocked mini ref inside the closet), complimentary bottled water, and coffee and tea making facility

?Other small details that I love are the alarm clock and channel directory (Orion booklet). No need to request for a wake-up call from the reception area.

?Flat screen TV with cable channels

Unlike budget hotels where only coat hangers are provided, Orion actually has a full-size closet with clothes hanger. Ample space for your haul. ;)

Another notable amenity is the safe so you can shop 'til the cows come home without worrying about your valuables.

I'm very particular about bathrooms when choosing accommodations and this one did not disappoint. The bathroom is spotless and chic too. Yay for the rain shower head! :D

Although Orion is not located in the CBD or in a posh area, the hotel surpassed my expectations. The rooms are well-appointed and I can see that they really paid attention down to the tiniest details. Their rates are very reasonable too.

Program of activities: dinner, shopping and awar... What awarding?

Find out on my next post. ;)
